How Much Money Can You Make in Aleph’s Black Market in 007 First Light?
In the chapter The Past Never Dies in 007 First Light, players are required to earn $100,000 inside Aleph’s Black Market to enter the auction and continue the story.
But once I reached that amount, I became curious.
How much money is actually hidden in Aleph’s Black Market? And is there anything worth doing after reaching the required $100,000?
To find out, I restarted this chapter multiple times and set myself a challenge: find every possible way to make money in Aleph’s Black Market and see how much cash James Bond can collect before leaving the area.
After testing everything, I found six different money-making opportunities. Three are quick and easy, while the other three offer much bigger payouts.
There is also an important collectible you should grab before progressing the mission, which I’ll cover near the end of this guide.
Quick Answer
You can earn around $222,000 in Aleph’s Black Market in 007 First Light, not counting extra pickpocketing money or the entry fees required for some activities. This is more than double the $100,000 required to continue the main story.

Start by Talking to Nirmala
The first thing you should do in Aleph’s Black Market is speak with Nirmala.
She provides useful intel and points you toward several opportunities to earn money around the market. This helps open up some of the activities and gives you a better idea of where to search.
Once you have spoken to her, you can start working through the money-making opportunities.
Pickpocketing
Pickpocketing is the simplest way to start building cash in Aleph.
Use your Q-Lens to scan NPCs and identify anyone carrying money. You will usually find cash on guards, soldiers, and armed NPCs around the market.
To pickpocket safely, use a distraction, move behind the target, and take the cash without being noticed.
The amount you receive can vary, so I am not including pickpocketing in the final total. However, it is still useful for building your early stash and paying entry fees for some of the optional activities.
Guessing Game
The first easy money-making activity is the guessing game run by Aadan.
This merchant is basically running a scam where you need to guess which cup contains the diamond. Normally, this would be difficult, but Bond has one major advantage: the Q-Lens.
Activate the Q-Lens and track the cup containing the diamond as it moves.
Once you win the game, take the diamond back to Nirmala and pawn it.
Reward: $30,000
Current total: $30,000
This is one of the easiest payouts in Aleph and takes very little time once you know what to do.
Shooting Game
Next, head over to Basim and enter the shooting challenge.
The entry fee is $3,000, and the objective is simple: hit all ten targets before time runs out.
Use L3 Focus whenever possible to make aiming easier, and remember to reload while the targets are resetting or getting ready.
Complete the challenge and you will earn another major payout.
Reward: $30,000
Current total: $60,000
At this point, you already have a strong starting amount, but the biggest money-making opportunities are still ahead.
Scorpius Art Deal
The first major money-making opportunity is the Scorpius art deal.
To begin, locate the mercenaries guarding the gate and eavesdrop on their conversation. This reveals information about an illegal art deal taking place near the port.
After gathering the intel, infiltrate Scorpius and locate Burner’s phone. The phone contains important details about a specific shipping container holding the artwork.
Once you have the information, head to the correct container.
When you reach it, enemies will appear. Take them out, then wait for the buyers to arrive.
Close the deal and you will receive a large payout.

Current total: $112,000
At this point, you have already earned enough money to continue the story. However, there is still a lot more cash hidden in Aleph’s Black Market.
Crypto Wallet
Another major money-making opportunity involves a buyer attempting to purchase weapons using cryptocurrency.
To begin, head near the drone shop and listen to the conversation. After that, use Moneypenny’s assistance to hack the communication and gather more information.
This leads you to the caller.
Once you reach the caller, distract her however you prefer and pickpocket the crypto hard wallet.
After collecting the wallet, take it to the nearby cell tower and interact with it. Once the wallet is cracked, you will gain access to the funds.
Reward: $50,000
Current total: $162,000
This is one of the more interesting activities in Aleph because it uses investigation, hacking, distraction, and pickpocketing all in one sequence.
Fight Pit
The highest-paying activity in Aleph’s Black Market is the Fight Pit.
Head inside the fighting arena and make your way upstairs. Eavesdrop on the Ringmaster’s conversation, then speak with him.
He will direct you to the Boss.
Speak with the Boss and he will test you first. Win the fight, and you will gain access to the arena.
After that, you need to survive and win three separate fights. Complete all three rounds, then return to collect your winnings.
Reward: $60,000
Current total: $222,000
This is the biggest single payout I found in Aleph’s Black Market.

After completing all major money-making opportunities, the total comes to around:

Considering the main story only requires $100,000, Aleph’s Black Market contains more than double the amount needed to progress.
Is There Anything Left to Do After Reaching $100,000?
Yes.
Even after reaching the required $100,000, there are still several optional activities worth completing. If you leave immediately after hitting the story requirement, you can miss some of the best payouts in the area.
The Scorpius art deal, Crypto Wallet, and Fight Pit are all worth doing before progressing the mission.
Collectible: Pirate Grillz Memento
Before leaving Aleph’s Black Market, make sure you collect the Pirate Grillz memento.
To get it, head to the stall in the middle of the market and speak with the vendor there.
This is easy to miss if you rush straight toward the auction after reaching $100,000, so it is worth grabbing before continuing the story.
Final Verdict
Aleph’s Black Market is much bigger than it first appears.
While the game only requires you to earn $100,000 to continue the story, there are multiple optional activities that allow Bond to earn far more before leaving.
After testing every method I could find, I was able to earn around $222,000 from the main money-making opportunities.
The best part is that these activities are not just filler. They make the Black Market feel more alive and give you a good reason to explore before moving on with the story.
